Making pages and chapters your own

A wiki you cannot shape is just a report. In Eigma you can rewrite a page, mark it up, and reorganize whole chapters, and a connected chatbot can do the heavy lifting while you keep the last word.

Edit a page in place, or a section at a time

Rewriting a page, checking what it claims, adding a diagram: you ask a connected chatbot for those, and review what comes back. Editing by hand is for the small things. Double click any paragraph, heading or list item to fix it right where it sits, then click away to save. For a bit more, the Edit button opens structure mode, where you rename, reorder, rewrite and delete whole sections, add new ones, and manage the page's questions. Every save goes into the page's local history, so you can look at an earlier version and put it back.

Highlight and annotate

Select any text and a small toolbar offers Highlight and Note, in four colours. What you write is yours alone: annotations live in a layer above the text rather than inside it, which is exactly why you can still annotate a page you are not editing. Everything you have marked on a page is collected under Page notes.

Reorganize a whole chapter

The structure is yours to change too. In the Wiki tab you drag a page to reorder it, drop it on another chapter to move it there, create a chapter, and delete one once it is empty.

For anything bigger, describe it to a connected chatbot: fold a set of flat chapters into two levels, move one chapter under another, split a chapter that has grown too broad. It comes back as a single change that lists every page that moves, with your chapter tree before and after, so you see what it really does before you accept rather than after. Deleting a whole chapter is the one thing it will not do on your behalf, because one sentence would turn into bulk deletion; move the pages out first, or name the ones you want gone.

Changes your chatbot suggests

A connected chatbot can do more than save new conversations. Ask it to tidy a chapter, merge two pages, correct a mistake or add questions, and its proposal arrives as a change waiting for you, on the page itself or in your Messages. You see the old version and the new one side by side and choose what to accept. Nothing is applied until you accept it, and Undo puts it back.

Common questions

Can I write a page myself? Yes. New in the Wiki tab creates an empty page under any chapter, and it behaves like every other page from then on.

Can I read a page in another language? Ask a connected chatbot to translate it. The translation arrives for review like any other change, and a language switcher appears on the page. The original stays, and the questions stay in the language the page was written in.
